One of the areas that I personally love, but also an area that I personally feel often is forgotten when the first implementation hype is over. Is usage of the mobile functions in SAP SuccessFactors. SAP SuccessFactors is launching new functionality covering the area for Q3.
I expect when the demo systems are finally released very soon, to produce a few videos showing the UI functionality.
Overall the Q3 major release is expected to give new functionality for the following areas:
- Adaptive UI –iOS
- Demo – iOS
- Learning Android
Minor relevant Q3 releases:
- PDF - Android
- Attachment – Android
- 3D touch – iOS
As some might have heard SAP and Apple have formed a partnership, this has led to that the user interface for SAP SuccessFactors iOS will be adaptive no matter orientation or screen size your tablet / Iphone is.
This one might not be so relevant for SAP SuccessFactors customers, but more relevant for the SAP SuccessFactors consultants / partners presenting functionality on any device without any Wi-Fi access concerns. Be aware not all feature are enabled. So for all the consultants who have tried not to be able to present the SAP SucccesFactors mobile application because of no Wifi, the solution is close.
The Learning mobile release for Q3 and Android, will give you better performance and userability. The Android version will catch up with the iOS features.
It will be possible to read and open PDF files without using a 3rd party application from the Android version, the PDF will be read from the SAP SuccessFactors secure storage.
Attach documents to the time off functionality on the Android phone – an example could be documentation for the sick leave.
Continuous Performance Management (CPM) will be enhanced with 3D touch support for iOS, which will improve user ability.
