SAP PLM Infodays 2017: The future is now!

The SAP PLM Infodays were held in St. Leon Rot, Germany on May 22 – 23. The event was a huge success with over 160 customer and more than 50 partner attendees from 10 countries. We were especially happy to welcome a high-ranking delegation of customers from China and from the Chinese SAP User Group (CSUA). The participants had the opportunity to learn about SAP PLM in-depth during this two-day event.

The first day was focused on the current solution and customer successes. Highlights were a keynote on Live Engineering in a Digital World by Georg Kube, SAP’s Global Vice President Industrial Machinery & Components, a Roadmap and Strategy presentation by Jürgen Weiner, SAP’s Senior Vice President for the line of business R&D, as well as several customer presentations.

The focus of the second day was on co-innovation, and was limited to customers with signed feedback agreements. After a quick welcome and overview session regarding PLM Strategy, presented by Frank Spiegel, SAP Product Manager for PLM, and Guenter Haack, from the German SAP User Group (DSAG), the participants were split into 4 breakout sessions, where they gained a deeper insight into upcoming trends, technologies and releases. Throughout the day, PLM development, and related areas, such Idea Management, and Product Lifecycle Costing showed their current developments and were actively looking for feedback and customers interested in further co-innovation activities or early adoption of new solutions.
