Inbound Delivery Notification is the main interfacing document in Inbound Delivery processing and so far Identified Stock/Batches were not supported in cases other than Stock Transfer Orders.
This in turn resulted in manual input of Identified Stocks for all line items individually while posting goods receipt or confirming tasks, in order to pass on the Batch information to Inbound Delivery and in turn to Inventory. This was very cumbersome and time consuming process considering there could be several line items in a single Delivery Notification.
Also, in case of TPOP scenario, since IDN is the only controlling BO for Inbound process, it was not possible to use Batches for deliveries fulfilled by third parties.
In order to overcome this situation, changes have been been made in the BO and all the sources of IDN creation (ByD UI, process agent and IDOC interface ) to accept Identified Stock so that the same can be auto-proposed in the execution phase.
