We all know that SAP S/4HANA is the digital core of SAP — the nerve center — of your entire business. It consolidates internal and external elements into a single, living structure that goes beyond traditional ERP.

This week we have a few very interesting announcements on Digital Experience Services and some significant updates for SAP Fiori Cloud – the simple and agile, cloud-based deployment option for SAP Fiori UX, running on SAP Cloud Platform. Now, SAP Fiori Cloud can simplify the UX renewal for SAP S/4HANA customers, as well as traditional SAP Business Suite customers.

First of all, SAP S/4HANA Finance customers can now benefit from ready-to-use Fiori UX content for 500+ apps available in the cloud. Second, we have listened to our customers, and we are now providing a 14 days’ advance notification for upcoming updates, so that you can plan accordingly.

But SAPPHIRE NOW is also a great time to look at all the innovations we have delivered for SAP Fiori Cloud in the recent months and get a glimpse into the future. Here are the highlights:

  1. Full content coverage for SAP S/4HANA Finance

  2. 14 days’ advance notification for updates

  3. SAP Fiori 2.0 on SAP Cloud Platform

  4. Upcoming planned additional content for SAP Business Suite

Let’s start with what SAP Fiori Cloud can offer to the many of you who are rapidly adopting SAP S/4HANA Finance on-premise. SAP Fiori Cloud can help you simplify your UX renewal via cloud services, all this while you are keeping your business processes and business data secure in your data. We have fully populated catalogs, roles, and tiles for the over 500 apps in SAP S/4HANA Finance. This means you can start right now connecting this Fiori cloud-based content to your on-premise S/4HANA system. Of course, on SAP Cloud Platform, you also have access to all the tools and resources you need to extend this content and develop your own new Fiori Cloud apps.  But equally important, by having your user experience in the cloud, you gain instant access to all new upgrades and additional apps delivered by SAP. For example: when we deliver a new SAPUI5 version, a new app or an updated app, you can start using it right away (without deploying and updating your systems). To get started, check out the full S/4HANA Finance scope today!

As we are talking about new content, just by looking at our published roadmap, you can see that we have concrete plans to delivering the full content coverage across SAP S/4HANA. So, while SAP S/4HANA Finance is our first step, our pre-packaged cloud-based content for the entire SAP S/4HANA suite is in the making. Have a look at SAP Fiori Cloud for S/4HANA documentation to get the latest information.

As SAP Fiori Cloud continues to gain momentum, we also want to make sure we keep in close contact with our customers and listen to their requirements. And this leads us to point #3. We realize that many of you – especially the ones who are new to cloud-base product delivery - would like to have greater visibility into planned updates. That is why, we have introduced the Preview Environment for SAP Fiori Cloud customers. With this enhancement, you get access to:

With advanced notice and the ability to ‘play’ with the new functionalities ahead of time, you can more clearly foresee the impact new upgrades can have on your business.

Moving to # 3, we have recently brought SAP Fiori 2.0 to SAP Fiori Cloud. SAP Fiori 2.0 is the next significant step in our evolution of user experience for business applications. This means you have now access to the new SAP Belize theme, Me Area, Notifications Area, and Smart Business in a simple to consume and configure cloud environment.

For point # 4, I would like to remind all of you that in the same way we are expanding content coverage for our SAP S/4 HANA customers, we are helping our SAP Business Suite customers to modernize their user experience efficiently in the cloud. Stay tuned for more details here.

I am excited to be at SAPPHIRE NOW this week and have the opportunity to meet with many existing users and new adopters of SAP Fiori Cloud.
