This very brief blog is only for those who work with SAP SuccessFactors as implementation consultants. Everyone else, just continue to enjoy your day.

OK, so the big SAP IDS mapping to Provisioning change happened this weekend. I must admit that I did sleep well since SAP had promised that the change had been tested quite well in all respects.

When I woke up Saturday morning before the family rose, I could not help trying to check. And true, when accessing provisioning I was asked for my S-User (SAP ID Services) login. After providing this, I was logged into Provisioning. I did it for all environments and same nice result. Thank you SAP for making our lives simpler.

Next change will be the Q2-2017 change being applied to preview environments next week and production in 5 weeks time. The above graphic shows the 3 key screens that implementation consultants will come to know as they will see them every day, multiple times. Not anything shocking, but nice to see that this part has been seen through end-to-end by SAP. When you access the to-be-legacy support URL you will get a nice message that will take you to provisioning (with S-user access) and then in the specific instance you will see the support login capability.

Do remember that the unlimited time bound access is going away with Q2-2017.

If you have any comments feel free to leave them here.

Thanks,

Erik Ebert, SAP SuccessFactors Solutions Director
