Hi Marcus - the link works for me https://www.sap.com/documents/2017/04/5e2249b3-b57c-0010-82c7-eda71af511fa.html - maybe try another browser?

Indeed, it`s the browser, who destroys 😉

Hi, on page-47 of Merlijn's presentation, there is something on "Combine Installer". About :

Ability to combine installer of Supprt Package and Patch into a single package
Reduce installed time if there is a need to deploy Support Package + Patch

I tried to find more info on this, but couldn't find it.

Has anybody a link or so where more information can be found ?

In our case, we want to upgrade from BI 4.2 SP3.2 to BI 4.2 SP4.1

      Many thanks

      Hi Eddy,

let me ask internally for you. I have also struggled to find this feature referenced in our online documentation .

Thank you for your patience on this matter.

      Regards, H

      Hi Eddy,

The combined installer/one step patch installer is currently being delivered on demand as we have been communicating in sessions/webinars. This being only an interim mode of delivery until we provide it as a part of the regular patch builds.

To your question of movement, you shall be able to move to BI 4.2 SP04 Patch 1 directly from BI 4.2 SP03 Patch 2 in ONE step instead of first updating to SP04 and then to Patch 1 resulting in nearly 50% savings in time.

The process to request for the one step patching installer (combined installer) is as follows:

      1. Customers shall choose the patch version to proceed with for the update/upgrade
      2. Customers shall then raise a support incident on demand under the category "BI-BIP-INS" requesting for one step patch installer/combined installer
      3. SAP shall process the incident and request for some details about the landscape and needs of the customer in the next step of the process
      4. SAP shall deliver the One Step Patch Installer for the required patch to the customer (timeline - 2-4 weeks)

I'll be happy to assist with any further queries that you may have.

      Regards

      Samarth
