Mind-blowing innovations are all well and good, but if you really want to know how to make the latest technologies work to your company’s business advantage, head straight for the Digital Business Services (DBS) campus at the annual SAPPHIRE NOW + ASUG Conference, being held May 16-18, in Orlando, Florida. I work extensively with the phenomenal DBS team throughout the year, and was especially excited to talk with Oliver Huschke, Global Head Solution Marketing & Communications, SAP Digital Business Services at SAP, who explained how the team has packed hands-on demos, proven strategies and ideas, and practical guidance into what’s guaranteed to be one amazingly insightful experience.
“People will hear about the latest SAP application and technology innovations from executive keynotes and other sessions, and the DBS campus is the place where everything comes together, and the customer journey is being planned and executed taking advantage of the services and support expertise,” said Huschke. “Customers will get answers to their specific questions about planning, building and running SAP solutions wherever they are in their journey.”
Based on our conversation, the SAPPHIRE NOW DBS campus offers attendees answers to three burning questions:
- How can we speed up application implementations and go-lives?
I’ve written previously about the SAP Value Assurance Service Packages, as well as the recently introduced SAP Model Company services, both of which will be out in full force at SAPPHIRE NOW helping companies put SAP solutions to work quickly.
“With pre-packaged industry and line-of-business best practices, customers can speed up the implementation of solutions like SAP S/4HANA, accelerating time to value for their investments,” said Huschke. “Customers have the flexibility of working with SAP and the partner in a way that makes the most sense to their business while gaining the specific new capabilities supporting competitive growth.”
- Where do we begin using digitalization for our company’s growth?
Given the hyper-fast pace of advancements, many customers aren’t certain of the best next steps for their company. Experts from the SAP Digital Innovation Lab will provide this kind of valuable guidance, helping customers identify innovation potential. Customers with a strategy in place will be able to obtain a digital road map to achieve it using SAP solutions.
“Digitization can be challenging for long-time SAP customers with complex landscapes,” said Huschke. “We can help them standardize and simplify operations so they can free up budget and resources to invest in digital innovations that make a real difference to the business, including machine learning, IoT and other cloud-based innovations.”
- How can we innovate on the latest technologies given our investment in legacy systems?
It’s hardly news that established companies face increasingly mixed environments, including both cloud and on-premise applications. There will be a dedicated table focused on operations across hybrid landscapes. “We’ll show customers how to optimize, standardize and automate, including taking advantage of SAP Solution Manager 7.2 in hybrid systems,” said Huschke. “We’ll also show customers how to take advantage of cloud solutions to help simplify their business.”
