New Home for SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform Pattern Books

Dear BI Community,
I am very happy to share with you the details about the new home for the SAP BusinessObejcts BI Pattern Books project.

Yes, those seven previously published pattern books, along with the newly released book on Promotion Management, now have a new home in SCN WIKI and comes up in newly converted format i.e. PDF. I hope this new format will not only enable our BI community to download the entire book but also helps them consume it easily anywhere and anytime (desktop or device – online or offline).
Here are the links to the SAP BI Pattern Books;

The information provided in those books are based on the SAP BI Pattern Books projects for a specific set of patterns / use cases applied within SAP lab environment.

      Sathish,

This is the first time I have seen or heard that PBs are available - much better than guidance than using pure experience and very useful indeed.

Any info regarding up to date PB for Upgrading from BOE XI v3.1 to BI v4.3?

(given that SAP have recently announced release of SAP BI v4.3)

There is no direct upgrade paths for 3.1 to 4.3
You need to move 3.1 content to 4.2 first, then to 4.3

      Good morning.

Please, it would be great if in any article incl. Pattern Books the creation date and last updated date would be included.

Release dates are shown on main page for most patterns. Once released, they are not updated.

      Hello Satish,

All of the links are broken.

Could you share the latest links for these pattern books?

I especially need the one about migration from 3.1 to 4.2.

      Hi,

The SCN WIKI (the original home of SAP BI Pattern Books) is going through a major overhauling. I am trying to find the progress (and the ETA) on that and the new home (link) for the Pattern Books. Once I get them, I will update this blog post and the corresponding URLs.

      Best,

      Sathish
