It’s LIVE – Start using the newly redesigned SAP Support Portal Now!
You have been waiting for it – and now it’s time: We are happy to announce the launch of the fully redesigned SAP Support Portal.
You wanted a more streamlined support experience, and we heard you. In October 2016, we released selected pages as a preview of the support portal. Now, the full version of the English SAP Support Portal is available and offers you an improved support experience with a streamlined user interface. It is now your entry point to all support related-topics, critical tasks, and helpful resources and you can start using it here.
We are targeting April 26th, 2017 to retire the previous support web site. At that time, the new portal will permanently move to http://support.sap.com. Both the new SAP Support Portal and the older version of the site will run in parallel for nearly a month. Either can be accessed until April 26th, 2017.
During the development phase, we collected your feedback through usability studies, navigation tests, blog comments, surveys and we took it very seriously. Your feedback has influenced the user interface of the new portal as we implemented many of your requested changes. We will continue to monitor your feedback through the transition period.
Why should I start using the new portal now, instead of later?
You will now find the most up-to-date information on the new SAP Support Portal. Only critical updates will be made to the old portal. In addition, the new SAP Support Portal is now simpler, easier to navigate, and mobile-enabled allowing you to easily access the portal from anywhere, at any time, and with any device.
What is changing with the SAP Support Portal?
We’ve redesigned and restructured content pages and navigation, so everything that you need is right at your fingertips. For the homepage, we continue to focus on what’s important to you: quick access to search and critical tasks like viewing incidents, downloading software, managing users, and more.
In addition to a new look and feel that better aligns with other SAP web sites, we’ve streamlined the portal by consolidating related content and retiring outdated content. We have two new primary navigation sections: My Support and Tools. Previous navigation entries Knowledge Base & Incidents, Keys, Systems & Installations, Users & Authorizations and Software Downloads are now found under My Support along with other SAP ONE Support Launchpad information and applications. Tools is a growing area where you can find supportability tools offered by SAP. Our top task area has also increased from six tiles to ten – allowing us to provide you with quick access to more of your critical tasks. Finally, the new SAP Support Portal is mobile-enabled, where the old site didn’t provide an optimal user experience on tablets and smartphones.
Please note that the SAP ONE Support Launchpad will not be affected as part of the portal redesign. The SAP ONE Support Launchpad will look, feel, and function the same as the SAP ONE Support Launchpad and the SAP Support Portal are independent web sites. You will still be able to easily access it through the SAP Support Portal.
The Japanese version of the new SAP Support Portal will be released in the coming months. We will provide the date as soon as it is confirmed.
