For many years SAP Customers have been offered the opportunity to request changes to SAP functionality and propose their suggestions for improvements to the delivered software solution.

Previously we had Development Requests, today this is superceeded by the Customer Influence Project. The main aim of the project is collecting small functional requirements to further streamline your central SRM procurement processes. Any accepted and implemented enhancements will be added to current release and downported to SRM 7.02.

See the video below from Tanja Rueckert and Heinz Haefner describing the Influence program and its benefits to you as an SAP customer!

So what can be included in this Project?

The scope for the overall influence project is available on the influence site.

Last years project resulted in over 20 enhancements implemented. Some examples of these include:

  • Previously, it was not possible in the User Interface Add-On (UIA) to change the item type at item level in the NXP shopping cart. Now SAP Note 2397288 has been created to provide this capability.

  • Purchase Requisition failures due to blocked queues. When Requisitions fail to transfer to SRM/PPS, ( program BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER) SMQ1 queue is updated with the failure record. Any subsequent PR will be waiting in the SMQ1 queue until the failure is resolved. The behaviour is changed with application of the note 2365234.

Now your chance has arrived again to make those changes you require, the next installment of the Customer Connect is underway!

So please join us for the upcoming webinar on 5th / 6th April and learn more about this new exciting round of Customer Connect. We look forward to seeing you there and supporting your requirements for the software of tomorrow.
