Hello All, 🙂

This blog post is about the interface differences between features that you can see in HTML5 UI when you access it directly or using the option "Launch HTML5" in Responsive UI.

Whether you have gone the HTML5 by "Launch HTML5" button in RUI, maybe you have noticed that the access level in the HTML5 UI is limited, and perhaps some features are missing.

Otherwise if you navigate to the URL that you had previously bookmarked, you get the full access to the work centers, tabs and options.
Some changes were done in this option and it is an expected behavior from the system.

The Responsive UI is in enhancement process, and not all features that are available in HTML5 UI are available in RUI too.

When you use “Launch HTML5” you will open the RUI floorplan in HTML5, so you will see just the same features that you can find in RUI.
It works this way on purpose of to make easy edit layout options for RUI.

The easier way to have the URL of full version of HTML5 is deleting the word “new” in “newclient” of the default address of RUI URL.

For your system the main RUI URL is, for example:

https://my999999.crm.ondemand.com/sap/public/ap/ui/repository/SAP_UI/HTM L5/newclient.html?app.component=/SAP_UI_CT/Main/root.uiccwoc&rootWindow=X&redirectUrl=/sap/public/byd/runtime

Just remove the “new”, and you will have this:

https://my999999.crm.ondemand.com/sap/public/ap/ui/repository/SAP_UI/HTM L5/client.html?app.component=/SAP_UI_CT/Main/root.uiccwoc&rootWindow=X&redirectUrl=/sap/public/byd/runtime

I hope this information have been helpful! 🙂

Thanks and Best Regards,

Khayan Padilha
