In April 2008, the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) established its office in Shanghai, China where ICC is dedicated at helping local customers and partners adopt the latest SAP Technologies. As the key team in China, SAP ICC has worked with many local partners initially on SAP NetWeaver Java/ABAP/PI/EP development and extending to SAP HANA enablement. SAP ICC China also works closely with partners to share the best practices and tools from SAP Development to improve software quality.
From 2013, Global Technology Partners (GTP) have been growing in China and SAP ICC has been working with them on SAP HANA Appliance Certifications. Thus, SAP ICC China also expanded to support the growing ecosystem to become the key technical enabler on certification and certification-related topics such as benchmarking, hypervisor validation, buildup of IaaS Cloud infrastructure and performance testing. These technical services have helped partners successfully accelerate their time-to-market while also improving solution performance to fulfill SAP’s strict KPI requirements. SAP ICC China has played a role in coordinating local technology partners with SAP Global R&D teams by setting up regular communications and technical workshops in Walldorf, Germany to strengthen the partnership and keep partners updated on the latest technical roadmap. SAP ICC China is also continuously working with various Labs teams together to support the growth of our Global Technology Partners.
SAP ICC’s strength in supporting partners to build or integrate industry or vertical solutions has contributed to the growth of the SAP ICC China office. Starting from Q2 2016, SAP ICC China has collaborated with Huawei Suzhou towards an end-to-end smart metering solution by integrating SAP IS-U and Huawei Energy Enterprise Module. Huawei recently
launched the AMI solution which integrates with SAP for Utilities at CeBIT on March 20
th 2017 in Hanover, Germany, with the presence of SAP Utility and SAP ICC teams. Further, technical cooperation and showcase at SAPPHIRE Orlando are also being planned.
SAP ICC China initially worked with local partners to build a trusting relationship. Through this relationship and the creation and delivery of a unique business value, it has contributed to the growth of ICC China to where it is today. Currently, there are 7 local ICC colleagues to support and guide partners with their technical and certification needs.
