• UX7421: Louisiana-Pacific Implementing SAP Screen Personas for Order Fulfillment

Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP) is a building products company operating 23 manufacturing facilities across North and South America. At our facilities, forklift operators are responsible for completing the delivery and shipment processes in SAP software. Through the use of SAP Screen Personas software, and with very little technical knowledge in programming, LP business analysts were able to simplify the user experience for these forklift operators and streamline their logistics process steps.

• SCM7850: 3M Innovates with SAP Global Trade Services Preference Process

With the goal to save US$100 million in duties, 3M executed new free trade agreements globally using the SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) application and created a global standardization for European Union and North American trade agreements in SAP GTS. • WD7290: Carpenter Technology Corporation Revamped the Rebate Process to Increase Profit Margins

• EIM6645: Graphic Packaging International Global Active Data Governance Solution

Graphic Packaging International Inc. (GPI) developed a global active data governance and management solution to enter, validate, and post new customer master data records, using SAP Data Services and Salesforce software. The solution uses Salesforce as the entry process to enter a new customer master data record. It is then sent to SAP Data Services to profile, cleanse, and post the new customer data. Salesforce is also used for workflow approval notification. GPI also uses SAP BusinessObjects Analytics solutions.

• SCM8876: Owens Corning: Pursuing Digital Factory with Augmented Reality with IoT

Owens Corning, a Fortune 500 company, used Microsoft HoloLens and the SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence application to build a proof of concept of augmented reality on the shop floor. The proof of concept is expected to augment and apply prior general knowledge to the repair task at hand in order to help technicians increase asset reliability while reducing operations and maintenance cost. At this session, Owens Corning will cover its vision of the digital factory, share the lessons learned from the proof of concept, and discuss the outlook of its road map.

With a focus on a significant reduction in total cost of ownership and total case of deployment, Resolute’s strategy is to consolidate its enterprise integration and to drive automation and process optimization, using the SAP technology.

• CPQ6965: Steelcase SAP S/4HANA for Advanced Variant Configuration Update

The session will cover the topics being discussed and developed, as well as the methods of working together to enable a rapid, agile delivery of an advanced variant configuration engine within SAP S/4HANA.

• SCM7324: Moen Success Story of Implementing Discrete Manufacturing

In 2015, Moen embarked on an 18-month journey to move to the SAP Manufacturing Execution for Discrete Manufacturing rapid-deployment solution. The key objectives were to move away from customized solutions and to use standard functionality to plan, schedule, and execute production processes. Moen was able to build a business and system process that is stable, scalable, and repeatable. This resulted in a 30 percent increase in schedule attainment; 40 percent and 20 percent reduction in work-in-progress and plant inventory respectively; 55 percent cost reduction in cycle-count adjustment; and improved service levels.

• MPM6747: Newmont Mining Implementing Payroll in a non-SAP standard solution country

Newmont is a multinational mining company with operations in four continents. Due to the nature of its business, Newmont is required to implement its SAP software payroll solution in different countries. Half of the countries where Newmont operates do not have a standard SAP software solution, such as Ghana, Peru, and Suriname. This session will cover the different approaches Newmont considered and adopted when implementing in these countries. The session will address the technical, business, and legal-specific topics this triggers.

• UX6733: Weyerhaeuser’s User Experience Step-by-Step Process to Resolve Billing Issues
Speaker: Clay Thomson, SAP Analyst, Weyerhaeuser
Weyerhaeuser created a billing corrections process that walks the user through seven different correction scenarios step by step. One example reduced the current return and resale process from 11 different transactions to a six-step process developed in SAPUI5. These processes were simplified enough so that less experienced people could resolve pricing or purchase order number changes. Weyerhaeuser accomplished this by expanding its design thinking skills beyond the basics by learning from a UX intern.

• MPM7351: Evergreen Packaging Streamline Account Payable with SAP VIM add-on Solution
Speaker: Praadeep Raghuwanshi and Dawn Hast, Evergreen Packaging
EPI implemented vendor invoice management add-on functionality for SAP software, which helped accomplish the digitization and automation goal of vendor invoice processing. In addition, the project reduced the lost cash discount by increasing visibility of unprocessed invoices and by reducing the invoice process cycle time. Evergreen enhanced the vendor invoice management baseline capabilities to automate the posting of vendor invoices from e-mail. This presentation will cover this solution to enhance the digitization and automation processes.
