Based on SAP S/4HANA 1610, All for One Steeb AG launched a worldwide unique industry solution for SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management to help SMEs find their way into digitalization. As a pilot project, this partner solution was supported by the SAP department Products & Innovation (P&I), and built with the SAP tools Solution Builder, Solution Manager and Workforce Performance Builder. The partner created their own industry-specific Best Practices on Top of SAP´s standard delivery.

With this new solution, customers now have the possibility to access a comprehensive business process library within SAP S/4HANA as partner offering.
Our partner decided to redevelop their industry solution entirely – and this is more than just a digital course of action. Hence, the IT service provider uses all effects of our new software generation SAP S/4HANA to their full extent, e.g. the Fiori Launchpad as a consistent user interface, or the great variety of innovations such as KPI apps.
“The new solution guarantees our customers the highest level of future-proofness”, says Ralf Linha, member of the Executive Board of All for One Steeb AG. This added assurance distinguishes our partner from most of the competitors who simply convert their industry solutions to the new SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management solution. The overarching question during system conversions is what happens to customizing settings or user exits during the installation of future software versions.
This is where All for One Steeb’s new industry solution comes into play, increasing industry capabilities for SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management, and providing a new level of assurance.
In order to ensure customers a high level of future-proofness, All for One Steeb AG not only redeveloped processes, but also challenged the present concept of the industry solution.
“We noted that the business in the industries is getting more and more diverse and complex”, says Linha. If today, an automotive supplier has a new process requirement, which is commonly found within the consumer industry, this requirement can be served by All for One Steeb’s business process library. Another advantage is that the requirement can be easily mapped into SAP without complex customizing. As the core of the new industry solution, the library currently entails more than 120 business processes, so-called scope items, for the automotive industry, engineering and consumer industry, which customers can access quickly and easily.
The introduction of SAP S/4HANA doesn’t only mean that the customer has decided for a new ERP or a new software generation, but more importantly that they are laying the foundation for the digitalization of the company. Therefore, the industry solution for SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management forms the core for all processes, information and services of the company. Meanwhile, it is irrelevant whether it’s about a connection of an IoT scenario and machine-data resulting from it, an additional solution for the digitalization of files, or a support portal. Moreover, with the new solution discussions about aesthetics and user interface are things of the past. “With the new development we exclusively offer users a consistent Fiori UI, a role and authorization concept corresponding to all security and compliance requirements, as well as a modern digital user documentation in the form of tutorials”, summarizes Linha.
In the medium term, with the help of a new portal All for One Steeb is going to offer customers a 360-degree view of the company and its processes by simply pushing a button. Linha explains the future scenario as follows: “In the future the head of the department for quality management will go to our portal and see the status of his incoming goods processes. He may realize that his goods are flowing off badly and he will then be able to select per click a new process from the library optimizing his goods receipt and allowing his goods to flow faster. With the help of this portal, our customer service will reach a new level.”
On March 17, All for One Steeb AG offered a day of digitalization to their customers and partners at our SAP headquarters in Walldorf. During this day, the new way of activating industry capabilities and further insights like best practices for digitalization were introduced.
