New openSAP Course: Building Portal Sites on SAP Cloud Platform

Portals provide easy access to the right information for the relevant users in a convenient way. In the past, Portals were mainly static application launchers. Today, Portals can be personalized, real-time, contextual and cloud-based access points for your users.

SAP Cloud Platform Portal provides an easy way for creating appealing business sites to engage with customers, partners and employees. Users benefit from central, role-based point of access to information and services. SAP Cloud Platform Portal combines the lightweight, low learning curve of site authoring with the full power of enterprise-grade access management, asset management and integration. It offers out-of-the-box integration to SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Hybris, Cloud For Customer, as well as on-premises SAP systems and is used by customers to build order fulfillment sites, customer support sites, partner portals and much more!

With the new openSAP course, Building Portal Sites on SAP Cloud Platform, you can learn how to use SAP Cloud Platform Portal to build engaging business sites to improve your users’ experience.

With this five-week course, you will have the opportunity to build your own portal site, through weekly hands-on exercises. You’ll start by learning about the benefits of SAP Cloud Platform Portal and what you can do with it. This will help you to prepare for the upcoming hands-on exercises over the coming weeks. Next, you’ll start building your first SAP Fiori Launchpad site, which is recommended for application, process centric scenarios such as a central employee self-services launchpad. Then, you’ll learn about freestyle sites with the chance to build widgets, bring in pre-defined content, and develop your own content. Of course, you’ll want to make your portal site easy to identify as part of your company so you’ll also learn how to brand your site, include any translations you might need, and enable mobile capabilities. Finally, you’ll learn about managing your landscape with topics such as authentication and accounts.

Building Portal Sites on SAP Cloud Platform is aimed at IT professionals, Solution consultants, Portal administrators, User experience experts, and SAP Enterprise Portal administrators.

The course starts from April 25 and enrollment is now open! As with all openSAP courses, all you need to register is a valid email address and all learning content is provided free of charge. To earn a free Record of Achievement, you’ll need to submit weekly assignments and a final exam prior to their respective deadlines. You can find more information on our course details page.
