After:

For Any error like below please look SAP notes under SAP notes section

SAP Notes:

Open URL https://<HANAServerHostname>:1129/lmsl/HDBLCM/<SID>/index.html

Login with <sid>adm user and open “Configure System Landscape Directory Registration”

Provide required details and press Next

Click on Run

Restart Hana system to push your system data in to SLD (HDB stop & HDB start)

Execute automatic activities first

Create HANA Database user

We are creating MONITOR user in HANA as below

Note: We do now want to change this user password so make sure you run script below

ALTER USER MONITOR DISABLE PASSWORD LIFETIME;

Note: Check user is able to connect DB

CONNECT MONITOR PASSWORD <password>;

Assign DAA agent

Setup DB connection and other settings as below

Note: 2370773 – During the Managed System Configuration, the DBA cockpit connection of HANA ends with the error: Database connection ADBC error ‘internal error 16 has occurred’

Provide system parameters

Execute Automatic activities and perform manual activities as below

Check configuration

Finish

Now Managed system is configured. Next step is to configure your HANA system for monitoring.

      Hello,

This issue might be because of 2 reasons listed below

      1. You are not in edit mode on this screen, There is edit button on screen
      2. You do not have proper security role assigned, Check SU53

      Thanks

      Thank you Yogesh!

The su53 I have tried for the first time and it was fine. Also the edit button, but it asked me to transport some modifications. So I have canceled it, not knowing what kind of modifications it will be transported. Today I said YES for the transport and the button become active. 🙂

      Thank you!

      Best regards,

      Peter

      Hi Yogesh,

HANA Database(1.0)  is part of the ABAP application server.

while performing managed system config. Should I do first for the ABAP system or HANA database ?

RZ70 datasupplier from ABAP system..will it not add the HANA database entry also into SLD and solution manager 7.2?

Should i still register the HANA database in SLD separately?

      Thanks in advance

Connect HDB first and after configure system. Do not forgot to install HDB client on your Solman system to connect HDB.

      enjoy !

      Hi Yogesh,

I am thinking to follow the below document steps as well.

      https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechOps/Managed+System+Setup+of+HANA+Standard+Installations#ManagedSystemSetupofHANAStandardInstallations-SetupHDBUserStoreforSAPHostAgent

Setup HDB User Store for SAP Host Agent

The next step is to make sure the SAP Host Agent can connect to HANA and can receive process information. To enable this you need to set up the HDBUSERSTORE on each HANA host.

Log on as <sid>adm to OS level and run the command:

      /usr/sap/hdbclient/hdbuserstore SET <SID>SAPDBCTRL <hana-master-host>:3<Sys-No>15 MONITOR password

In newer installations you will find the hdbuserstore executable in the folder /hana/shared/<SID>/hdbclient.

If you have a multi-node HANA database, please add all possible <hana-master-nodes> separated by semicolon surounded by "".

      /usr/sap/hdbclient/hdbuserstore SET <SID>SAPDBCTRL "<hana-master-host1>:3<Sys-No>15;<hana-master-host2>:3<Sys-No>15" MONITOR password123

      Now my questions:

      1. Should I have the <sidadm> on the HANA db server to connect the hostagent running on the db server in distribution environment for ?
      2. I dont see the path
        /usr/sap/hdbclient on my hana database.

        Can I use the /hana/shared/hdbclient?

      Please clarify.

      Thanks in advance

      Hi Yogesh,

      Nice blog with clear steps.

Since now we have ABAP and JAVA split up with 2 different SID's with Solman 7.2, Is there a need to install HDB client for both ABAP & JAVA separately or just ABAP should be ok.

      Appreciate your help.

      Thanks in advance.

      Hello Yogesh

We have been trying to do Managed system configuration for S4 HANA 2.0 system on solman 7.2 . However when I try to install Diagnostic Agent on HANA DB node which is on linux (to be noted: My APP server is on windows. ) I am facing the below issues.

with SWPM 2.0 -> there is no option to install diagnostic agent

with SWPM1.0 SP23 -> The SWPM is not recognizing the media files. ( It gives this error '

Archive does not contain manifest file 'sapmanifest.mf'. Found manifest file(s): diagnosticsagent.mf.')

Could you please help on how did you install diagnostic agent on HANA DB server?
