SAP SuccessFactors Q1 2017 Release: Workforce Data in the Hands of Company Decision Makers with the New Connector between SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics and SAP BusinessObjects Cloud and SAP Digital Boardroom
As you probably know, we currently have packaged integration content that brings together SAP SuccessFactors with many of the SAP solutions, including SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fieldglass. With the Q1 2017 release of SAP SuccessFactors, we’ve extended our integrations to include the pairing of our SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics solution aligned* with wave 07 2017 of SAP BusinessObjects Cloud and SAP Digital Boardroom. With this connector your organization can rapidly provide access to hundreds of predefined, time-trended HR and talent metrics (without having to reinvent the wheel) to your business analysts and data scientists so they can blend and analyze workforce data with business, finance and operations data and deliver stories that matter via the SAP Digital Boardroom to fuel executive and board meetings and discussions.

Analytics for HR Business Partners and HR Analysts
Transforming HR transactional data from tables and fields into metrics that matter is hard work. Analysts spend as much as 80 percent or more of their time in manipulating and preparing data and validating its quality. Repeating this exercise every time a request comes or on a regular basis consumes a lot of valuable (and expensive) time and resources that could otherwise be spent on more strategic, value-added activities. Business analysts and data scientists regularly need to bring together and analyze data from across the enterprise, from various SAP and non-SAP systems, business warehouses, finance and operational systems, internal or external sources, and even spreadsheets. And they want to blend this data with their HR data from SAP SuccessFactors or a third party HRIS.
SAP BusinessObjects Cloud can help you. SAP BusinessObjects Cloud (see overview video) combines all analytics capabilities – including planning, predictive analytics and business intelligence (BI) – in a single SaaS solution. It provides a range of capabilities like hybrid data access, cloud-based authoring to access, prepare and blend data from different sources directly from your Web browser, and helps you with data exploration, visualization and storytelling. SAP Digital Boardroom, built on SAP BusinessObjects Cloud, is the next-generation board portal that leverages Lines of Business data to provide 360-degree view of your business (see overview video).
Our standard APIs enable SAP BusinessObjects Cloud customers to access raw transactional data stored in SAP SuccessFactors. But a significant amount of work can go into creating metrics from the raw transactional data.
