Creation of more than one ERP quote from single C4C opportunity.

This blog explains how a user can create more than one ERP quote from SAP C4C opportunity. IN many cases in sap C4C deployments, one of the key requirements from customers is that , when a ERP quote is created from SAP C4C opportunity, which apparantly creates a quote in ERP and gets replicated to C4C opportunity in document flow. User can then view the quote as PDF in C4C from opportunity document flow. The conern here is that,

• what if the quote created in ERP from C4C opportunity needs a revision due price or any other factors
• Can I create a revised quote from same C4C opportunity created initally.
• Can I create a quote-2 in ERP with a copy of already created quote-1, in this case will the quote-2 shown in document flow of C4C opportunity
• Can I create a quote-2 in ERP from C4C opportunity again.

Creation of Opportunity in C4C:

When user creates an opportunity in C4C, an option can be seen under actions to  “ Create ERP sales Quote” after product is entered in Product Facet and request for price from ERP.

When user clicks on “Create ERP sales  Quote”, quote will be created in ERP, which will be updated in document flow of C4C opportunity as seen in pic below.

User can click on the quote icon in the document flow to see the PDF view of quote from C4C.

User can check the quote in ERP with number mentioned C4C document flow and make necessary changes in price based before submitting to customer.

In a case where the end customer requested for further changes/revisions in the quote and user would like to capture the revisions in the quote by creating a new quote from C4C opportunity with new quote ID.

In C4C from Opportunity screen, From actions button,  “ Create ERP sales quote “ is active only after the first quote has updated in C4C document flow.  user can now  clicks on “Create ERP sales  Quote”, quote will be created in ERP, which will be updated in document flow of C4C opportunity as seen in pic below.

Now that the second quote is created from C4C opportunity, the document flow of opportunity in C4C will be updated with second quote as seen in pic below. A new quote with New quote number will be updated in document flow, which is revised quote.
