At the end of 2009, we have started to release our business user focused planning solution SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 7.5, version for SAP NetWeaver to our customers. From now, the business user was able to develop his own planning applications as part of SAP BW without a huge IT involvement.
With respect to our SAP maintenance strategy, we will reach after successful area the end of mainstream maintenance for this planning solution at the end of 2017 (12-31-2017). After mainstream maintenance, has ended, SAP provides extended maintenance for an additional maintenance fee (note #52505).
If you should still use BPC 7.5, please be aware of the upcoming end of mainstream maintenance.
With respect to our strategic planning solutions, we would recommend you to upgrade your system to the most actual releases. In addition to this, we do not recommend to start new implementations with the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 7.5, version for SAP NetWeaver.
