Digital business has all too quickly become a generic buzz-phrase that obfuscates what’s actually a transformation unique to every organization. I blogged earlier about Gartner’s 2017 top trends, forecasting the emergence of intelligence everywhere and anywhere. What it means is that IT experts and their colleagues in all departments are grappling with hybrid environments comprised of both existing systems, along with the latest cloud-based innovations. Partnerships like the 30-year collaboration between SAP and HPE have become even more critical to figuring out the optimal modernization path. I caught up with Lukas Hatala, IoT Lead Architect at HPE at SAP TechEd Barcelona, where he explained in this VIDEO how this unique partnership has shifted into high gear to co-innovate for the two companies’ shared 25,000 customers worldwide.
“We’re helping customers on their transformational journey to SAP S/4HANA,” said Hatala. “Our customers are asking for services and solutions, rather than hardware. Companies are shifting their business models, and this is where the partnership between SAP and HPE directly supports these strategically-driven changes.”
Innovations like AI, internet of things (check out SAP Leonardo), and machine learning are infusing new services with intelligence, forever changing company relationships with customers and employees, and redrawing industry boundaries. But behind the digital buzzwords a new reality of personalized co-innovation has emerged where unique partnerships like the one between SAP and HPE address the individual objectives and situation of each company. Because if digital business means one just one thing, it’s that companies can’t go it alone.
