These Release Notes focus on new features and improvements delivered as part of the WebClient UI Framework EhP4 Support Package 04.

Administrator Experience

The features below were added to improve the Administrator’s experience using the backend of the WebClient UI.

Performance Assistant Note and KBA Search (PANKS) Integration

With this feature, you can search SAP Notes and KBAs using error messages. This feature integrates PANKS to the Web UI. Once activated, you will see an additional magnifying glass icon on the error messages in the message area. Selecting this magnifying glass will trigger a search using the error’s text. The results are presented on a new browser tab, where you can select the ones relevant to you.

NOTE: In order for this feature to work, you must have the function module SEARCH_NOTES, RFC destinations for the Note Assistant (transaction SNOTE) must be maintained, and the user must have debugging rights (i.e. S_DEVELOP) and the bspwd_user_level parameter set to 8 or higher in SU01.

If you already have the SAPGUI implementation (SAP Note 2020356) running, you will only need to ensure that you have the proper debugging authorization and parameters.

Styling Form Fields Using Configuration

This feature enables you to configure the styling of your forms fileds with the addition of two attributes; CSS Class and Tooltip.

The CSS Class allows you to provide custom CSS classes for rapid custom styling of form cells and fields via the configuration. These CSS classes are added to the HTML class attribute of the corresponding form field host <TD> cells.

Tooltip enables you to quickly input the text that you would like to see as a tooltip for the selected field and its label on the form.
