Technical Checks After System Conversion to S/4 HANA
Below table contains a list of technical checks after system update/migration to SAP S/4HANA. These activities are mandatory to validate the update/installation is technically consistent and S/4HANA conversion is successful from a technical point of view.

Component Version Check | Select System → Status Check Component Information | Update successfully completed. Component S4CORE should be available. |
License Check | Execute TA SLICENSE | SAP License should be valid |
System Change Options | Execute TA SE06 | Update as before the migration |
Client Change Options | Execute TA SCC4 | Update as before the migration |
System Consistency Check | Execute TA SM28 or SICK to perform a system consistency check | User can see the entry SAP System Check |
Database Consistency Check | Execute TA DB02 to perform a database consistency check | User can see the missing tables or indexes |
Server Check | Execute TA SM51 and check if all Instances are active and running | Status is active |
Check RFC Destinations | Check the RFC destinations for relevant systems: Execute TA SM59 → choose relevant RFC-destinations → Utilities → Test → Authorization Test | Target systems are successfully reached |
RFC Server Groups | Execute TA RZ12 | Correct assignment of instances to RFC server groups |
Operation Mode Switch | Execute TA RZ03 → Choose operation mode → choose | Operation mode switches are set as before the migration |
Internet Communication Manager (ICM) Checks | Execute TA SMICM, check number of threads and then select Goto → Services | HTTP(s) services are configured correctly |
Internet Communication Framework Check | Execute TA SICF | ICF Services are activated |
Partner Profile Check | Execute TA WE20 | For all partner profiles, check the classification tab and confirm if it’s correct |
IDoc Port Checks | Execute TA WE21 | Check RFC destinations and logical file paths for IDoc ports |
Technical (Basis) team would be responsible for all listed activities above.
