With SAP S/4HANA 1610, we have applied the SAP Fiori 2.0 visual theme (Belize) to the whole product, i.e. to SAP Fiori apps as well as to SAP GUI for HTML and Web Dynpro ABAP. This means that each user can use the SAP Fiori launchpad as their single entry point for all their work with SAP S/4HANA, and they have a harmonized visual user experience when calling up the various apps – a big step forward.

This also helps adoption for customers migrating from the SAP Business Suite to SAP S/4HANA. It helps customers protect their investments, especially since all custom-built SAP GUI transactions and Web Dynpro ABAP apps automatically get the new visual theme, and it also allows them to take time with educating their users on new UIs. None the less, the SAP Fiori design principles remain our cornerstone, and we continue to invest heavily in providing new full-blown SAP Fiori apps to help users get their work done more effectively.

The new theme brings some important aspects of the SAP Fiori look & feel to technologies like SAP GUI and SAP Business Client. Because there are so many classic applications within SAP S/4HANA, not to mention classic applications implemented by customers and partners, we have focused on a solution that minimizes disruption for existing applications. To learn more about this, have a look at SAP Fiori Visual Theme for Classic Applications.
