ENHANCEMENTS

Meet new features and capabilities in the following.

Custom Validations

Require an early warning if the data meant for your Word report lacks some quality?

Or does your XBRL regulator provide insufficient validation rules so you want to supplement them?

Well, here is the solution: SAP Disclosure Management now offers Custom Validations based on Excel formulas.

To use them, create a formula in an Excel chapter with the result TRUE or FALSE. Then provide messages to be shown to users in each of the two cases. As a last step, register the rule in DM CLIENT 10.1's new dialog "Custom Validations".

After check-in, you will find the Custom Validations listed on a new tab of your chapter. Validation results are shown in the chapter tree, the cockpit and in the chapter's "General" tab.

HANA as a Data Source: Analytics Annotations Support

SAP Disclosure Management 10.1 can now use SAP BW Queries that are based on ABAB CDS with Analytics Annotations.

These Queries can be included in DM BriefingBooks analogue to SAP BW Queries that are made with the BEx Query Designer. You must implement the corrections provided with SAP Note 2385646 or an ABAP Support Package for Add-On DISCLMG that includes these corrections.

Secure Authentication for WebAPI and Fiori Launchpad

Meeting highest security requirements, DM's WebAPI now supports user authentication via Active Directory and Security Assertion Markup Language 2.0.

This enhances the list of use cases supporting AD & SAML to the following:

  • DM SERVER - APPLICATION SERVER 10.1 classic webpage logon

  • DM SERVER - APPLICATION SERVER 10.1 Fiori Launchpad logon

  • DM CLIENT 10.1 logging on to DM SERVER - APPLICATION SERVER 10.1

  • DM SERVER - APPLICATION SERVER 10.1 connecting to itself or to another DM SERVER - APPLICATION SERVER 10.1 for a server-side data refresh

  • DM SERVER - APPLICATION SERVER 10.1 connecting to DM CONNECTOR FOR NW BI 7.XX for a server-side data refresh

  • DM CLIENT 10.1 connecting to DM CONNECTOR FOR NW BI 7.XX for a refresh

  • DM SERVER - APPLICATION SERVER 10.1 WebAPI

Enhanced Password Security

Storage of DM user passwords according to Digest Authentication has been replaced with a storage using strong hashes based on machine salt and user salt. See SAP Note 2391766 for further information.

From now on, it is strongly recommended to backup your machine salt for recovery purposes. Read SAP Note 2398666 for details.

IMPROVEMENTS

Cleanup: Redundant Permission Dialog

With the introduction of the Revised User Authorization in SP03 (Stack 300), several existing permission management dialogues became redundant. We have started to clean up and removed the "Entity Chapter Permissions" dialog (Settings -> Manage Reports -> Entity Chapter Permissions).

Customers are recommended to make use of the "Global Permissions" and "Local Permissions" dialogues which offer a much better user experience while covering the same capabilities.

Cleanup: WebDAV discontinuation (Step 1)

For security reasons, access to DM using WebDAV has been switched off by default with Stack 800. However, it can be reactivated manually again after installation. Read SAP Note 2391729 for details.

LEGAL CHANGES

SP08 serves you in fulfilling legal obligations as described in the following.

Solvency II FR 1.0.0.b

Banque de France's patch taxonomy for the 2016 annual Solvency II reporting due 30 June 2016 is supported with new business content and updated software components.

Find details in SAP Note 2396303.

Solvency II IE 1.1.0

The Irish regulator Banc na hÉireann / Bank of Ireland has provided a hotfix for their 1.1.0 taxonomy which we support with updated software components and business content.

See SAP Note 2393998 for details.

Solvency II Instance encoding

EU XBRL: New report parameters allow support of national regulators' requirements regarding the choice of character encoding and the way of writing down the same:

  1. "XBRL instance encoding" decides whether XBRL instances are encoded in UTF-8 with or without BOM. Choose the parameter according to the requirements defined by your regulator.

  2. "XML encoding declaration written in” - The XBRL instance, among a few other things, starts with the declaration of its encoding. This declaration itself can be written in upper or lower case based on the requirements of the regulator.

EU XBRL Multi-Currency Reporting

Multi-currency reporting has been implemented for use with EIOPA and EBA reporting.

This enables EU XBRL customers to report their values in currencies deviating from the standard report currency in tables that offer this. The best thing about it: You do not have to care - it just works.

US SEC EDGAR Filer Manual v38

US SEC Validation now supports EDGAR Filer Manual v38.

SAP continues to recommend using arelle(R) for US SEC Validation - available since Stack 700.
