AIX and SAP BusinessObjects Predictive Analytics: Direction and Support Going Forward

The next release of SAP BusinessObjects Predictive Analytics (3.x product line) is currently planned to be released in 2017.

SAP plans to remove AIX operating system support in this release, in order to speed up product innovation deliveries on other operating systems, including Windows 64-bits and Linux, and on premise and in the cloud.

The last SAP BusinessObjects Predictive Analytics release that provides AIX operating system support is the release 3.1. It was released on November 21st 2016.

For customers who wish to continue using SAP BusinessObjects Predictive Analytics (or SAP InfiniteInsight) on AIX operating system, the end of mainstream maintenance dates are the following:

  • SAP InfiniteInsight 7.x for AIX: December 31st, 2018
  • SAP BusinessObjects Predictive Analytics 2.x for AIX: February 10th, 2017
  • SAP BusinessObjects Predictive Analytics 3.x for AIX: November 30th, 2017
