Last week (Nov 8th – 10th) we had the opportunity to discover in SAP Teched in Barcelona how SAP is supporting and promoting innovation in each industry, and how SAP HANA Cloud Platform is a key pillar for this strategy: Healthcare, Public Sector, Retail, Automotive… a lot of great examples can be found here
It was also really interesting to discover how SAP in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA), announced the Earth Observation Analysis service, a cloud service powered by the SAP HANA platform.
But we wanted more! We wanted to continue getting more knowledge about this amazing area, so we organized November 15th an SAP CodeJAM on HCP IoT at SAP Offices, in Madrid.
We had the opportunity to meet, learn, test and discover with Spanish customers and partners how to get started with HCP, having around 30 people working with the SAP HANA Cloud Platform, connecting IoT devices and imaging new business scenarios to develop in their industries.
Craig Cmehil led the CodeJAM, and helped us to understand all the possibilities that IoT bring to the business, and how easy is getting started with SAP HANA Cloud Platform, how easy is to find all the detailed "how to" tutorials, and how easy is to start to play and enjoy with IoT sensors.
Of course, we already had time to share previous experiences around IoT, feedback about what we were learning, future ideas, networking,.... all around our lunch table.
I tried to summarize all I learned, to create the "easy recipe", the real "takeaways", and here it is:
