SAP Labs CIS: SAP Labs speaks to IT-developers in their natural language
The 12th Central and Eastern European Software Engineering Conference in Russia (CEE-SECR 2016) traditionally gathered software engineers in Digital October for 3 days on October 28-30. SAP Labs partners it as a Gold sponsor the third consecutive year.
About 500 software IT-developers, engineers, and managers form more than 200 IT-development companies visited the conference this year to enjoy 111 presentations, 2 panel discussions and 11 master-classes. The conference positions itself as a practical one. Therefore, there are mostly developers speaking for developers to share their insight and experience in problem solving within different areas of programming, developing methodology, and process design. This way, SAP considers SECR as a good place to promote our technologies to people, who can use them and benefit from this usage in their daily work. This is why SAP Labs becomes a Gold sponsor for the conference the last 3 years. RVC, Russoft, Dell/EMC, Kaspersky Lab, and some other well-known International and Russian companies are among the partners of this respective IT event in Russia as well.

Oleg Koutyrine, HANA Cloud Platform Architect at SAP SE, Walldorf, spoke about microserveces in business applications, their architecture, and shared his own experience of problem solving in developing cloud applications based on microservices with examples of the ones built in Hybris as a Service (YaaS). It was really a thought-leadership presentation, as the audience was almost full of attendees, and Oleg was answering questions at least 40 minutes after his performance.

It is very important for any technological vendor that independent software developers, who use vendor’s technologies to build their own applications, share their successful experience with others. It is the best argument for others to try these technologies or at least to think of that. VeeRoute, a startup from Saint Petersburg, who develops their own solutions for last-mile delivery and inter-city logistics in partnership with SAP Co-Innovation Lab told how do they work with SAP and how SAP HANA and SAP solution for transportation management help them to make the best-in-class solution and win the market.
