SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities and Public Sector is now available on SAP S/4HANA 1610

SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities and Public Sector (SAP MCF) offers utility companies a powerful and cost-effective way to extend their customer interactions to digital channels such as Mobile, Web, and Social.  If you are new to MCF, check out this nice  blog post that explains MCF.

Since its launch in November 2013, SAP MCF has been widely adopted by customers across the world and during this time, it has continued to mature as a solution across several releases.

With SAP S/4HANA at the core of our Digital Platform for Utilities, it is imperative that MCF became a part of this digital core and we are glad to  announce that SAP MCF is  now available on SAP S/4HANA as part of the recently released SAP S/4HANA 1610 .

As part of this innovation, the ERP add-on UMCERP01 has been retrofitted into the IS-UT and FI-CA layers on SAP S/4HANA. Additionally, a new SAPUI5 based responsive UI template, offering off-the-shelf integration with the MCF OData services has been shipped in a new SAP Gateway add-on called UIS4MCF.

      Hi All,

      As part of requirement related to Multichannel Foundation for Utilities we have to update few data in contractaccount entity and in response we have to send some data in payload.

      Please suggest some approach to send data in payload response for update entity scenario.

      Hi All,

      I am currently in the process of setting up MCF with S4HANA only. However when I launch the template, it is still trying to retrieve $metadata from CRM_UTILITIES_UMC, which is the Odata Service of the CRM system.

      How do you configure MCF to retrieve all information from the S4 system (which has SAP S/4HANA FOR CUST MGMT installed on it).
