Document Service Explorer at SAP HANA Cloud Platform

Looking for a easy way to manage the content in the Document Service? Running on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform? Preferably to happen through the browser? Is it even possible?

Note: Updated version of the blog is available here.

The answer is yes!

Now this is made possible, with the help of Eclipse Dirigible and the CMIS Explorer application. You can go through the steps and have the CMIS Explorer up and running in less than 10 minutes!

Here is how it should look like at the end:

The goal of this post, beyond pure business usage, is to show how easy it is to consume and leverage services, provided from the underlying platform, in Eclipse Dirigible applications! In the “Managing the content in the Document Service from the Browser” scenario, the application leverages the Document Service and uses the Enterprise JavaScript API for CMIS.

Of course, new services can be easily adopted on-demand!

The link given above is for a sample application, which supports only basic operations.
If you want to experience the full potential of the CMIS Explorer and use the new features (like unpacking zip files, managing user permissions per operation, etc.) you can use the Document Explorer Application, from which you can expect even more updates any time soon.

Great, thank you very much Viktor!

Can’t wait to see the full potential of the Document Explorer application ?
It would be great to have a customer adoption and different scenarios with it!
