Part 16 : SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SR1 (+ SPS03) : Rapid Content Delivery Automatic Download (RCD)

Hello Friend,

As part of SAP solution manager Technical System Monitorung you need to update your ST-CONT

I am providing you step by step information how to configure your system for it.

Create RFC

Make sure You have created RFC connection called : SAP-SUPPORT_PORTAL

Ref : SAP Note 2289984 – Configure the synchronous communication channel

Note: Make sure your ABAP system have following profile parameter is set  : ssl/client_ciphersuites = 982:HIGH:MEDIUM:+e3DES

For more information please look at SAP note 2359837 – “Set Up Connections to SAP” and “Support Hub Connectivity” in Solution Manager 7.2

Apply SAP notes in your SAP Solution Manager System

Apply Below SAP notes in to your SAP Solution Manager

Apply Certificates in SAP Transaction Code ‘STRUST’

Download Certificates from : https://www.globaltrustpoint.com/trustcenter-list.jsp

SSL Client SSL Client (Standard)

• VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority – G5
• Symantec Class 3 Secure Server CA – G4

SSL Client SSL Client (Anonymous)

• GTE CyberTrust Global Root
• Baltimore CyberTrust Root
• VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority – G5
• Symantec Class 3 Secure Server CA – G4

Note: Some of the certificates can be download from service.sap.com as shown below

Configure SAP Transaction ‘FILE’

Select DOWNLOAD_SERVICE_PATEL under Logical File Path Defination

Select Assignment of Physical Path

Add new Entries for windows NT as below

Now it will be looks like below

Download Service Configure in SAP Transaction ‘SDS_CONFIGURATION’

Crate entry for S-User Data

Crate entry for Execution Perameters

Final Screen will be as shown below

Once you have all this configuration done your system is ready to downoad and apply Content
