SAP® Young Thinkers Program – October 28, 2016

More than 20 Cass Technical High School students learned about the latest business technologies during the SAP® Young Thinkers Program hosted by SAP University Alliance and the Seidman College of Business. The event was held October 28th at the GVSU Detroit Campus.

Students from Cass Technical High School spent the day participating in hands-on exercises that tested their analytical and creative thinking skills, while learning about careers in business and technology. The program aims to help youths understand Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and its impact on businesses and everyday life. ERP refers to the automation and integration of a company’s core business to help focus on effectiveness and simplified success.

The program is sponsored by General Motors Jim Hamilton, SAP Former Member, Senior Vice President | Head of Diversity & Inclusion SAP Office of the CEO, SAP University Alliances Heather Czech Matthews and the Enterprise Systems Student Union (ESSU).  Faculty from GVSU included: Dr. Simha Magal, Dr. Thomas McGinnis, Chris Gillespie, Meagan Knoll and student mentors: Ashley Mushna (GVSU Alumnus), Olivia Hamilton (GVSU Student), Former Member (GVSU Alumnus), Stanley Tucker (GVSU Alumnus), Nick Zomer (GVSU Student), Matthew Darga (GVSU Alumnus), Jason Litchfield (CMU Alumnus), Khaled Alkarzai (CMU Alumnus),Former Member(GVSU Alumnus), Emily Satterfield (GVSU Student)
