Enhancing your HXE Server Image

Four blogs with a couple of more to go. The first in the series was about setting up my Intel Nuc and downloading my SAP HANA, express edition of choice. The second was about installing SAP HANA, express edition (HXE). The 3rd post was connecting SAP HANA Studio and created a project that we shared with the server. The 4th post was about implementing a Fuzzy Search. Now in the current post let’s take our server only instance and do a little enhancing.

I’ve created a new how to guide for the process. Since most of the online content in the Developer Center is based on the web based tooling I decided it would be best to show everyone how to enhance their server only instance of HXE to include that very tooling.

There are only a few steps and the whole process should only take you a few minutes, perhaps 20 tops but it will be worth the effort later on. Once completed you’ll then be able to access your system via the web browser, design your XS applications, access your catalog and run SQL and much more.

Next up, how to enhance your instance and make it “yours“!

This is related to the "Server Only" version of HXE and is not connected to XSA.
