The EPM Add-in SP27 release now only has .NET 4.5 version for both 32-bit and 64-bit installations
Starting with the EPM Add-in SP27 version there is only the .NET 4.5 version available which can be installed for use with either 32-bit or 64-bit installations of Microsoft Office.
BPC 10.0 or 10.1 for NetWeaver:
- For the SAP BPC FOR NETWEAVER product the EPM Add-in SP27 version will be available under the EPM Add-in .NET 4.0 for SAP BPC for NetWeaver which will then show the ‘SBOP EPM ADDIN10.0 NET4&ABOVE’ reference.
BPC 10.0 or 10.1 for Microsoft:
- For the SAP BPC FOR MICROSOFT product the EPM Add-in SP27 version will be available under the ‘SBOP EPM ADDIN10.0 NET4&ABOVE’ section.
The SAP note 2318228 – EPM add-in for Microsoft Office 10.0 SP27 references the updates included within the EPM add-in SP27 release and this note also has the file EPMofc_10_SPinstall_en.pdf attached that lists the steps to follow in order to install the EPM Add-in SP27 for either the 32-bit version of MS Office or a 64-bit version of MS Office.
There is also new information for the actual installation of the EPM Add-in SP27 and later versions as referenced in the SAP note 2363963 – ALL: New setups
– The most important information is that this release has the .NET 4.5 Framework and other prerequisites embedded within the installation file for the .NET framework 4.5 to be automatically included when installing the EPM add-in Support Package 27.
Hi there,
After (uninstalling SP26 Patch 3, which worked fine, and) installing SP27 64-bit, the EPM and Data Manager tabs don’t show up.
I did try to reload COM add-in, but it gives me the error “FPMXLClient.Shim.dll is not a valid Office Add-in”.
I’ve also checked LoadBehavior registry to make sure its value is 3. So now I have no idea why the tabs wouldn’t show up.
By the way, I’m on Windows 10 and Office 2016 (365 version), both in 64-bit and using standard model for BPC.
Am I missing any obvious prerequisites? I see a manifest file that came with the software download. Is there anything I have to do with it other than leaving it in the same unzipped folder when installing the software?
Thanks,
AW
Hi Anirut,
I'm running into exactly the same issue. Did you find a resolution?
Best regards,
