OK, I get it. Tax reporting is rarely an anticipated event. However, as we approach the season remember there are many SAP resources available to assist you as you manage this task. The intent of this blog is to help direct you to some of the most helpful ones.
Job 1 at year-end is to visit the SAP’s U.S. Year End 2016 website. Visit this site early and often at year-end. It is the start page for all SAP HCM year-end tax related activities and updates, which occur regularly. Here you will find year-end checklists, Tax Reporter FAQs, and links to many other valuable resources. Be sure to explore the other pages in the left panel under Year End 2016.

Attend the 2016 U.S. Tax Reporter class, HR710. Each year SAP Education releases an updated version of HR710. In this two-day course, you will learn to use transaction PU19 to calculate and produce your company’s tax forms, use transaction PAUY to process adjustments from the year-end workbench and reconcile differences using the Payroll Reconciliation Report.

Visit the ASUG website and register for U.S. Tax Reporting webcasts. The next scheduled event is October 27, 2016. The presentation will update SAP customers on U.S. Payroll, Tax, U.S. Tax Reporter, and the Year-End Support Program. Learn what is new and what is coming next.
