Tags for EHS / EH&S / EHSM / EHS Management / Product Compliance / Environment Health and Safety / Sustainability etc.
Why use tags?
In the SAP Community you can only create content or ask questions if you add a primary tag.
If you want other users to see your questions and blogs you need to tag them with the correct tags.
What are tags?
“Metadata is the organizing principle for content in SAP Community. Metatags, or simply “tags,” are used to structure, aggregate, and find content in the community and across the SAP digital landscape. It is also essential to the operational strategy of moderation and reputation services in SAP Community.”
You can find out more on tags and meta data here.

(An excel list with all tags can be found here.)
This is quite a long list – for what used to be one SCN community.
I would recommend using SAP Environment, Health, and Safety Management as the primary tag.
And if you know exactly into what area your question falls one of the others as secondary.
(Reason: Most people can not tell weather their topic belongs to “SAP Environment, Health, and Safety Management” or “component extension for SAP Environment, Health, and Safety Management“)
In “User Tags” tag you can still use tags like:
- GLM
- WWI
- phrases
- report layout
If you type “EHS-” in the “User-Tags” you’ll get EHS Software components that you might know from creating SAP Messages.
If I missed any tags please let me know and I’ll update the list.
So where there used to be one space to find everything I now have to search for 20+ tags. Now that's an improvement!!!
Hi Ralph,
Seems like it 🙂
That's why I suggest that we (all EHS folks) should use as primary tag "SAP Environment, Health, and Safety Management".
I think the list of tags for EHS is not really good either. All the once for the different products (SAP "EHS Regulatory Content substance lists and reference data for EMEA" vs. "SAP EHS Regulatory Content substance lists and reference data for the Americas") doesn't make a lot of sense.
EHS Sub modules like DG, GLM SVT, Product Safety, Porduct Compliance would be much more useful in my opinion...
Kind Regards
P.s.: I think if you set this:
http://go.sap.com/community/topic/ehs-management/all-content.html
as your starting pages you should see most of the blogs and questions
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the link, that's helpful.Maybe one day I'llg et used to the new layout, right now I don't feel like answering questions simply because I don't want to spend a lot of time searching whether there is something I could answer. For this, the old layout was lightyears better.
Ralph
Hi Ralph,
Yes I think it will take time till we all get used to the new SAP Community...
In theory you should see the relevant questions in your activity stream - if you followed all the relevant tags.
However so far I have not figured out how to follow tags for which no questions have been asked.
If time permits I'll update the above blog with the direct links to the tags in order for us EHS Folks to make it easier....
Kind Regards
Mark
