Counsel: Consider Unit of Measure and Currency Conversions at start of IBP Implementation

In my book, “SAP Integrated Business Planning: How Does SAP IBP Fit into SCM Processes?” ( https://www.sap-press.com/sap-integrated-business-planning-how-does-sap-ibp-fit-into-scm-processes_4174/ ) I talk frequently about considerations when beginning an IBP Implementation that will save time and cost over time. But as quickly as IBP is evolving and gaining marketplace acceptance, there will be content that was not in the book.  I’ll post here from time to time. One important thought, shared recently by a consultant friend, is the good counsel to consider including configuration for currency and unit of measure conversions in the initial deployment, even if these capabilities are not needed immediately. He correctly notes that it’s been his experience that seeking to add this to a model alredy in production is not trivial. An important thought, and worth passing along..
