      CA Introscope Enterprise Manager

Make sure your CA Introscope Enterprise Manager version is at least 9.7 SP01. If not, plan to upgrade the

Introscope Enterprise Manager server(s) together with the SAP Solution Manager system (see SAP Note

      797147 ).

When operating with Introscope 9.7 SP01, please also make sure to have Management Modules version 9.7

      SP01, patch 2 installed

To update my question with my findings, what I have done really is simply remove Wily before the upgrade. Backup the log files. Do the upgrade, after the java split, I install the new version of Wily then copy back the log files. No roadmap exists to "upgrade" wily. You backup, uninstall, install and put back the files. Done it on 3 servers already, production next month. You need to install wily before running the solman_setup because some steps look for the connectivity.
