Two Introductory Promotions to Encourage Feedback – for SAP TechEd Attendees (and You)

by Steffen Fischer, Go-to-Market Lead for Third-Party Apps, SAP Digital

When you really want to hear what people think, the best way to do it is to ask them face to face. And when you really want people to try out your offerings, the best way to do it is ask them in person – and it helps to give them a great deal (more on that later). That’s why I’ll be at SAP TechEd in Las Vegas next week: it’s the ideal place to get real live feedback from the developers, customers, potential customers, partners, and influencers who will be attending. If you’ll be there, please come by and meet me at our demo pod. You can find us at EZ11 in Hall G, Level 1.

What do we want to know? Mostly this: are you familiar with SAP Store? If so, have you ever used it? What was your experience? If not, we’re curious to know why. Because you can buy all sorts of things on, SAP’s online marketplace, including software, education, and content from both SAP and third parties. Prices are PayPal and credit-card-friendly, and you can try,  buy, and use with a simple click-through process. In fact, let me share the perspective of Joshua Greenbaum, who recently wrote in an SAPinsider article, “Winning means reaching out to a developer community … by making the case that SAP Store is the best place to sell the next generation of enterprise apps to the next generation of SAP users.” That’s what we aim to do.

About that great deal

Meanwhile, didn’t I mention something about a great deal? Since we want to encourage people to try out SAP Store, we partnered with two third parties offering products that are widely applicable to a large audience, and are running a special promotion during SAP TechEd.

neXboard is an amazing collaboration tool, a virtual whiteboard that allows people to work together at a distance with the feeling of being in the same room. Participants can see and hear each other, watch them write on the whiteboard, discuss ideas in real time – and then even capture the session and archive it in a secure data center, where it’s accessible at any time. Read more in this blog. From Sept. 18 until Sept. 30, you can buy neXboard at an incredible 95% introductory promotion, available to SAP TechEd attendees and readers of this blog. That amounts to $0.95 per user per month. The discount (which is limited to the U.S. and Canada) applies to the entire contract duration of six months. And if you are going to be at the event, be sure to stop by our pod on Tuesday, Sept. 20, when Patrick Hennig of neXenio will join us to demo neXboard and explain the promotion.

Our second fantastic offer is for CMaps Analytics for SAP BusinessObjects Lumira. This solution uses geospatial visualization and analytics, and creates Google Maps extensions for SAP BusinessObjects Lumira in minutes. You can “mapify” your KPIs by answering critical “Where?” questions; explore by geography, making location, proximity, and distance matter as you slice and dice your business data; and simplify spatial storytelling by combining your assets, facilities, events, and other spatial data to create location intelligence. Read more about CMaps Analytics’ innovation in this blog. From Sept. 18 through Sept. 30, we’re offering it at a 95% introductory promotion for the entire contract duration of three months – $2.45 per user per month. Ryan Goodman of CMaps Analytics will be with us in our pod Wednesday, Sept. 21 doing demos and talking with attendees. (Please note that this offer is also limited to the U.S. and Canada.)

Come by to see us at SAP TechEd, and Patrick and Ryan will be glad to help you with your order on SAP Store. And if you won’t be there, just go to and use promo code TECHED_LV_NEXBOARD for neXboard and TECHED_LV_CMAPS for CMaps Analytics for SAP BusinessObjects Lumira.

Most important, please let me know what you think by commenting below. Needless to say, we truly value your feedback!
