B2B add-on | product history and evolution
I often get questions about the B2B add-on’s history and evolution. That’s the reason for this small blog to share with you where we currently are and what the plans will be for the future (as far as I understand from SAP and of course, subject to change).
In the beginning of 2012, the B2B add-on was made available for general usage. Since that time, the product/technology became very mature and, as you can see in the B2B community, more and more people started working with it.
Putting all SP releases on a timeline looks like this
As you can see, the latest SP is available since September 2014. Already a long time.
Several people asked me what about SP5? Is that planned? For me the trigger to contact SAP and ask about the roadmap.
Currently, new B2B capabilities are not that numerous. Not to justify a new Support Pack. For the moment being, new features and corrections will be shipped in updates of SP4.
