It’s not very often that we in IT are given a clean sheet of paper and told, “Guys, solve this challenge!”. But that’s basically InnoJam at SAP TechEd and you get just over 30 hours to do it before you get to show it to a team of Judges.
The only things you need to come to InnoJam with are your laptop, devices, and any hardware, such as IoT, that you think you may use to solve a challenge in Education & Research. We will supply the room, food, and experts. In Las Vegas, SUSE, our ‘Inspirational Co-Sponsor’, are sponsoring refreshments to keep you going during the 30+ hours of coding!
These challenges have been created by a domain expert team at SAP, and will be randomly selected by each team leader picking an envelope. So it's back to a competitive hackathon! They are then judged by a team of Judges and the best 6 go through to DemoJam, where the SAP TechEd attendees will decide the DemoJam winner!
You may ask, "Wow that seems a real mountain to climb?” but once you have registered for InnoJam you will be sent an invite to a
private SAP JAM Group, specific for the location you will be at. We have worked with some of the SAP experts, technical & domain, that will be at InnoJam in person to help get you up to speed before the event, so it's crucial that you join and get involved before setting off to SAP TechEd. This JAM group will also be the place that you can get in the forum to meet other attendees, and start to form a team before InnoJam. That's if you haven't joined as a team initially. Each team is a maximum of 5 people, so you’re climbing that mountain as a team!
