The highest priority of SAP Labs CIS is strong integration into the regional innovation ecosystem. We mentor technological students and work with the universities. We support software developers, ISVs and startups, and cooperate with the largest startup accelerators in Russia, such as Skolkovo Foundation. We provide innovation technologies and expertise to the market via our IoT solution center and Co-innovation Lab.
SAP Labs unit in Moscow was established in 2012 as a market-focused Labs and the key partner of Skolkovo, as well as a member of SAP Labs Network (SLN) family. Today SLN embraces 18 Labs worldwide.
Currently SAP Labs CIS has offices in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Izhevsk, and Kiev. We employ more than 300 specialists, many of them are scientists with degrees in mathematics and physics. Our people agenda includes hiring the best professionals capable of independent, out-of-the-box thinking.
The development strategy of the Labs in CIS includes three pillars relevant for the local market:
- We provide our platform technology to our customers and partners so that they could develop their own solutions and products based on our platform.
- We innovate for customers. We do custom development to cover the functional gaps of our standard products and to meet the unique requirements of our customers. We do localization and adaptation of SAP global solutions to meet local legislation. We do research and development in the spheres of HCM on-boarding cloud technologies, Manufacturing Execution systems, and IoT.
- We co-innovate with partners. We provide our partners with the access to our technologies, infrastructure, and expertise, which allows them to avoid upfront investments and to decrease risks of new software product creation. It is the market demand that turns invention into innovation. Therefore we help our partners to bring their new products to the market.
