This mornings “upcoming flight” notification was just another reminder that SuccessConnect is only days away! As a “newbie” to SuccessFactors, and Vegas too, here’s a look at my #SConnect16 to-do list (conveniently documented in the “My Notes” feature of the SuccessConnect app).

1.     Catch up on The Huffington Post

As a daily reader of The Huffington Post, I was thrilled to see that Arianna Huffington will be making a keynote address at SuccessConnect! I am especially looking forward to hearing about her work with Thrive Global and how they are working to “end the collective delusion that burnout is the price we must pay for success.” Huffington has always been an inspiration to me, and as a new member of the workforce, her effort with Thrive Global has been insightful as to how I can maintain a healthy work-life integration. I am also looking forward to hearing her speak from experience about how she has used technology to lead a successful business.

In addition to hearing from Arianna Huffington, I am also looking forward to attending the Product Keynote with Thomas Otter and Dave Ragones as well as Mike Ettling’s opening address. As a new consultant with SuccessFactors, I am eager to learn more about the future directions of their solutions, and how the company plans to continue innovating their product line.

2.     Complete Agenda

As you can see from this snapshot of “My Agenda,” I am really looking forward to attending sessions on Onboarding and Recruiting. My experience thus far with SuccessFactors has been concentrated in Onboarding, but I have recently started learning about the integration process between Onboarding and Recruiting, and hope to learn more about both modules at the event.

I am also exited to hear implementation stories from the various clients that will be presenting at the event. One event in particular that I’m looking forward to is “Journey to the Cloud,” which is being hosted by Veritas Prime on Wednesday afternoon. This session includes a panel discussion of various companies that have all transitioned to using cloud-based software. Given that I am new to cloud computing, this panel will be extremely insightful as to what different companies have experienced on their “journey.”

3.     Research things to do in Vegas

As a first timer to Vegas, I did a little research to make sure I get the full experience while I’m there. A few items on my list include taking a gondola ride, enjoying some of the many restaurants in the hotel, and taking a walk (or maybe two) down the strip. I am also really looking forward to the SuccessConnect Tao party!

4.     Don’t forget bathing suit

Last but not least, I needed a little reminder to pack a bathing suit for the Veritas Prime company retreat. As a new member of the VP team, I am anxious to meet my new colleagues, and learn about their consulting experience with SuccessFactors. It will be nice to finally put faces to everyone I have met on the phone!

While my list will be sure to continuing growing over the next few days, I look forward to providing an update on all that I learn at #SConnect16!
