Availability group :

EWM system uses availability group to determine the stock types and the storage location of ERP system. We can have different stock types in EWM for one storage location in ERP.

EWM determines ERP sloc with respect to Availability group but The combination should be unique per warehouse

For eg, we have plant SCM1 and 5 slocs, we are defining the 5th sloc to an availability group ,

SPRO>IMG>EWM>Interfaces> ERP integration > Good Movements

Trying to add a new sloc with same Availability group., system gives error

So to define this , we have to create a new availability group:

SRPO>IMG>EWM>Goods Receipt Process> Configure Availability Group for Putaway

a) Define Availability Group

Copy from standard availability group 001. Z03 created

b) Define Non-Location-Dependent Stock Type

These stock types refer to ERP IM stock types.

                               

c) Configure Stock Type-

This is specific to EWM. We can have multiple stock types in EWM for a special ERP storage location. Here we assign EWM stock type > availability group > Non location stock type.

But again the stock type should be unique per availability group. We cannot use same stock type which is already used in any availability group within warehouse.

Let me try to assign F1 stock type to our new Availability group Z03. System gives the below error

So for this we need to create a new Stock type. Let us create stock type F9. System gives the below error.

Double click the error and follow the procedure to create a new stock type in EWM.

Now again try to assign this in the configuration: System accepted the entry and we have assigned this to FF - which is un-restricted type stock

d) Assign Availability Group to Storage Type

Assigning the availability group to our storage type AF01 in config with 'mandatory' marked and ' NO GI' unchecked

Again going back to initial configuration for ERP integration :

SPRO>IMG>EWM>Interfaces> ERP integration > Good Movements
