Wondering which is the coolest track at SAP TechEd...

This year marks the 20 years of SAP TechEd. Being a speaker at SAP TechEd for the last 14 years it’s indeed cool to look back and see what an awesome experience TechEd has been each and every year. This year again we will have a real content packed agenda with tons of hands-on sessions, code-jams, roadmap Q&As and deep-dive lectures. I want to bring your attention to the Cloud Integration, Orchestration and Intelligent Processes track. In this track we will learn how cloud solutions are integrated using SAP HANA Cloud Platform, integration service into a common customer hybrid cloud environment, whether it’s with SAP and non-SAP applications, cloud with on-premise applications, or cloud to cloud applications. You will also learn how to liberate data in SAP applications through simple application programming interfaces based on open standards like Odata, Restful APIs that are supported by SAP Gateway and SAP API management technologies. Learn about best practises and use cases with SAP Process Orchestration technology, and how to develop processes and integration flows to realise A2A, B2B, user centric and mobile use cases. Discover how on-premise and cloud based smart process applications combine context, collaboration, built-in operational intelligence, workflows, tasks and business rules to create an enjoyable experience for line-of-business users to drive their business operations.

As you can see these are a wide range of topics and in order to make your life easier we divided the track into 4 sub-tracks which are:

In this sub-track you will see that we have sessions that explain how SAP API Management and SAP API Hub can help to manage, expose and consume APIs on SAP HANA Cloud Platform. We will show how to build and manage APIs that you can consume in web applications for employees, business partners and customers alike. Pre-defined APIs on SAP API Hub (e.g. from S/4HANA or SuccessFactors) can simplify development of such extension applications through existing functionality. In this track you will also learn how ODATA, REST and SOAP APIs can be provided for external consumption while tracking their usage through analytical capabilities in SAP API Management.

Integration is at the core of SAP’s digital transformations story. In this sub-track you can learn how cloud solutions are integrated using SAP HANA Cloud Integration in a common customer hybrid cloud environment: SAP and non-SAP, cloud with on premise and cloud to cloud. Example scenarios include the integration of S/4HANA, LoB (SuccessFactors, SAP Cloud for Customer, Hybris, etc.), IoT, and API Management. Explore how SAP's cloud platform simplifies integration for your cloud solutions and for your business networks like the Ariba Network, FSN etc. Learn about the integration services in the SAP HANA Cloud Platform for diverse integration needs. In particular, gain hands-on experience with middleware technologies like SAP HANA Cloud Integration and Cloud Connector.

Learn about best practices and use cases with SAP Process Orchestration. Develop processes and integration flows along main stream A2A, B2B, user-centric and mobile use cases. Understand how SAP Process Orchestration, SAP Operational Process Intelligence, SAP Gateway and Cloud Integration and API Management come together and help you build powerful orchestrations. Learn how we simplify development and integration of A2A, B2B and your own process orchestrations with SAP PRO.
