Most of the developers don’t know how to setup the default work space in the desktop. Below steps help you to setup work space specific NWDS shortcut in the desktop.
Navigate to folder where the NWDS SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio.exe file placed. Refer below screen shot
Create desktop shortcut
Mouse right click and select Desktop (create shortcut)
Go to Desktop and mouse right click on the new short cut
In the Target section add the below string
-data “D:\TestDemoWorkspace”
ie, …..\SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio.exe -data “<work space folder path>
Click Apply and then OK button.
Now Click then the new shortcut will open with the given work space.
You can create project specific/ NWDI track specific shortcuts and it will open the required work space.
