Back with another exciting feature “Location Based Payments” in Employee Central. Does your company operates in locations where you have extreme work conditions – too hot, too cold or any other reason due to which employees working in such locations are entitled for some additional payments. For example in countries like Russia, where such a practice is extremely common. If yes, please keep reading this blog.
The first release for Location Based Payments was 1605 where we started supporting change in location in job Information. So whenever an employee moves from Location A to Location B where B is entitled for additional payments, these payments would reflect in his compensation info automatically. So an administrator no longer needs to keep track of employee’s location, figure out the additional rate/coefficient/relevant pay components and create/modify the compensation info manually. With this new functionality, this would all be taken care in backend once the location gets changed.
With release 1608, we also support additional payments from the time of hire itself in case the Location assigned in Job Info demands additional payments. Further, this functionality can be switched on from Admin Center itself, so customers do not need to contact the professional services colleagues to switch on the feature and lose precious time.
