One of my favorite quotes of all time is by Henry Ford, where he says, “If I would have asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” During the early 90s, when I was growing up in Michigan, it seemed like every family owned a Ford. The Ford Taurus station-wagon was considered sporty, the Explorer was the adventurous family car, and the teenagers on my street bought and drove the Ford Escort as their first car. Today, I live in Silicon Valley, the home of Tesla, Uber, and self-driving car movement. I think it's still early to say that electric cars, on-demand automobile services, or even self-driving cars will completely replace the traditional car outside of Silicon Valley – but it’s certainly caught the attention of traditional car manufacturers.
So how does this all relate back to SuccessConnect?
At SuccessConnect 2015, we launched several new technologies across the SuccessFactors HCM suite - Intelligent Services, the Integration Center, the new Admin Center, and a preview of the Extension Center. Last year, I received questions from colleagues, partners such as, “Why do we need these new tools?”, “Who is going to use them?”, “Don’t we have enough products and innovation for our customers to keep up with?” This year, those questions are gone. When we are content with just “settling” or “just focusing on our bread and butter”, someone else will come in and offer better products, services, or technologies to your customer at a better price.
At SuccessConnect this year, our product experts will provide you with an update on how customers have adopted and used these new technologies, best practices in implementation, and share their vision and roadmap that will shape the future of the SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite.
