Join us at Postfinance in Bern, Switzerland, for our 1st local SAP Inside Track! In collaboration we’ll learn, network, and share with each other.

SAP Inside Track is a community grass roots event that takes place all over the world including: Hamburg, Frankfurt, Melbourne, Munich and now in Bern.The benefit you will get from it: Hang out with fellow SAP enthusiasts for a day, share expertise and knowledge with the local community as well as with the world via web-casting. Strengthen your local SAP network.

Details:

  • Where: Postfinance Headquarter, Mingerstrasse 20, 3030 Bern, Switzerland
  • When: Saturday, September 3, 2016
  • Time: 10:00 am – 16:00pm CET (Check-in starts at 9:00am)
  • How/What: Community provided sessions by passionate SCN members (unconference style)
  • Cost:  45CHF (ca. 40 Euro) (registration required due to limited space)
    • included some drinks eg. coffee, mineral etc
    • some snacks in the morning and afternoon and for lunch there will be some “Pasta and Salad”
  • Participation: Maximum 40 participants. If there is a need we will organize!
  • Theme: IoT Internet of Things, SAP Cloud, ABAP, UI5, BW, Fiori, and project experience
  • Barrier-free: The facilities for SAP CodeJam and SAP Inside Track are barrier-free

How to build UI5 component using code from SAPUI5 Open Source repository

AP UI5 is a library created on open source basis, therefore adding new controls and extending existing controls is allowed and wished. The session will show example of extending one of the controls by making a copy in own namespace, this will include information on the content – what is an UI5 control (technically) what needs to be created to make own control. Small example will be provided.

The event language is:  English / German
We expect to have some friends from outside of the German speaking countries with us. In general, the language will be English unless only German speakers are in the audience, in which case the presenter can switch to German.

Whoever is already in Bern and not joining the CO-Jam, is welcome to join us at the Bundeshaus place at 19:15 for a stroll through the beautiful streets of Bern to the Tramdepot.

We’ll be leaving Postfinance together and travel with the S-Bahn to the “Bundeshaus” loacted in Bern City. If you’d like to get a glimpse of Bern`s famous skyline you can exit at Vitctoria place and walk the remaining distance – crossing over the Aare river with a beautiful view of Bern’s old town and city center with all those famous buildings.vIf so please let us know we will order you a guide from the SIT Staff.

      There is a way to register to both events (codeJam + Inside track) with a single step? I cannot find under SAP Code Jam space the event and i would hate to register only "at half" 🙂

      • In which Language are the sessions?
        • English oder German, on the audience demand
      • Is the scedule fixed?
        • We are adjusting it until the 26th of August. Its getting more and more interesting
      • Is the SAP Codejam and the SAP INSIDE TRACK on the same place?
        • Yes same address and same location
      • What means family or Partner event?
        • On saturday we have a city tour from Bundeshaus to Münster an later on to the Rosengarten with nice Restaurant and playground for the kids.
        • On Sunday is a trip planed to get chocalate, visiting a castle and last but not least visiting a cheese factory in gruyere.
        • This will be fixed 1week before!!!!!stay tuned!!!!
