Every year, we host a series of research roundtables with chemical industry customers. This year, the roundtables will be held at the SAP offices in Houston (August 17th) and in Newtown Square (August 19th). The output of the roundtables forms the basis of next year's Best Practices conference (Eventful Group).
Each roundtable is typically attended by 20-30 customers.
At last year's roundtable, I introduced the concept of digital transformation - for the most part, the concept was in its infancy to the industry. This year, we are looking forward to hearing how customers have actually addressed transformation projects with tangible examples. We are also in the midst of a swarm of M&A deals that will change the landscape for chemicals.
I expect that this business trend will be driving numerous challenges for the industry, some of which can be addressed by our digital framework!
