ONE Support Launchpad now lists the newly-created and updated SAP Notes and KBAs in a tailored view, based on the components chosen by you to search and report incidents. By default the user history is taken into account, but it is also possible to customize the list setting your own component-wise preferences.

This feature is located in Lauchpad landing page, it’s a tile called SAP Notes and KBAs (also accessible via direct URL https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/mynotes) under “System Operations and Maintenance” section:

When clicking the tile, you’ll notice a gear button for Settings in the upper right corner, that allows you to define a time range and to add your preferred components:

This is how the list looks like:

In my case (I do a LOT of searches daily) this feature gives too much (in last 30 days – 42 new and 60 updated) notes many of which are not even translated to English yet. I can read/speak little German but for somebody who can not…well the feature is useless because you get updates that you can’t even read.

It’s nice, but it would also be nice to get all new/changed Notes relevant to component(s) within custom date range…

The use case: before upgrade I try to get a list of all Notes within, say, last 3 years and then wade through the corrections of “alarmingly” sounding ones in order to judge the potential for “disruption” to critical processes and our standard code modifications…

I guess I could try to get them from within “EHP package(s)” display, but custom date range or an “Advanced search” app for Notes would be nice. Google has advanced search, Twitter has it… 🙂

    Thanks and cheers
